Chiefs Unveil Their First Signing

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Nkanyiso Shinga ahead of the upcoming season.
The 25-year-old, who previously played for Alverca in Portugal, will wear jersey number 74 for the Glamour Boys.
Shinga, a graduate of the KZN Academy, marks the first new addition for Chiefs as they prepare for a season that includes the CAF Confederation Cup. More signings are expected as the club strengthens its squad.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of 25-year-old Nkanyiso Shinga,” read a statement from Chiefs on X (formerly Twitter).
“The talented left-back is a versatile operator who can also play in midfield and attack. He will don jersey #74.”
The KwaZulu-Natal-born defender is the second KZN Academy product to join the club, following Thabo Cele, who arrived at the beginning of last season. Shinga has spent most of his life in Portugal, playing for several clubs including CF Estrela Amadora, SC Covilhã, Vitória de Setúbal FC U23, CD Pinhalnovense, and Juventude Évora SC.
