Dladla Can’t Wait To Get Going At AmaZulu
Newly appointed AmaZulu assistant coach Simo Dladla has expressed his excitement about this new chapter, stating he’s eager to contribute to the club’s project.
As Sportswire previously reported, Dladla joins AmaZulu after leading Durban City to top-flight promotion last season.
His departure from Durban City came after he and chairman Farook Kadodia couldn’t agree on terms for him to continue as head coach next season.
This appointment marks a homecoming for Dladla, who previously played for AmaZulu during his playing days.
At Usuthu, he’ll work alongside head coach Arthur Zwane and fellow assistant Siboniso Vilakazi.
“I’m extremely pleased for this opportunity in my career,” Dladla said. “AmaZulu is a big club with great ambition. I look forward to contributing to the project.”
Usuthu finished sixth in the Betway Premiership last season, securing qualification for the MTN8 trophy. The club’s first MTN8 quarter-final match will be an away game against Stellenbosch FC in early August.
