The Buccaneers clinched their spot in the MTN8 final after a dramatic 4-1 penalty shootout win at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
The match ended 1-1, with the aggregate score level at 2-2, sending the game straight to penalties. Goalkeeper Sipho Chaine was the hero of the day, saving two crucial spot kicks to secure the victory.
Pirates are now one win away from their fourth consecutive MTN8 title. They will face the winner of the other semi-final between Sekhukhune United and Stellenbosch in the final on 13 September, likely to be held at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Speaking on SuperSport TV, Ouaddou praised his players for their resilience and character. “I want to go congratulate my boys, they had a great character, a great personality,” he said.
He added that he believed in his team’s ability to come back from being down on aggregate, telling them at halftime that the game was far from over.
Ouaddou also acknowledged the traveling support, stating, “I have a thought for the fans as well, because they came a lot here and they deserve the final now.
