PSL Closes Dr Molemela As Gallants Leave Free State

Troubled PSL side Marumo Gallants have confirmed their relocation from the Free State to Pretoria for home matches after Dr Molemela Stadium was closed.
The club announced that Molemela Stadium has been suspended by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) because it currently does not meet league standards. The playing surface has reportedly been left in a damaged condition, making it unsuitable for fixtures.
As a result, Gallants will now host their home games at Lucas Moripe Stadium, which also serves as a secondary home venue for Mamelodi Sundowns.
The relocation comes at a challenging time for Gallants, who have recently been in the headlines following revelations that the club has not yet paid the full agreed amount to Moroka Swallows after purchasing their PSL status in May 2024.
Despite the move, Gallants have assured supporters that the switch to Pretoria is temporary. The club stated that once Dr Molemela Stadium meets PSL requirements, they will return to playing their home matches in the Free State. They also thanked their fans for continuing to attend matches in large numbers during this difficult period.
