Riveiro: We Have Been Looking For This Start

Orlando Pirates coach José Riveiro is pleased that his team is hitting the right gears in the Betway Premiership as they cemented their top spot in the log table, saying this perfect start is something they were looking for in the past two seasons.
The Buccaneers won their sixth game of the season, beating TS Galaxy 2-0 at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night.
Bafana Bafana midfielders Thalente Mbatha and Relebohile Mofokeng scored the two winning goals for the Pirates against The Rockets to move to 18 points from six matches.
Riveiro revealed after their victory that Galaxy played better than them, but he is happy about the victory and how his team is performing so far this season.
“There’s a lot of things to rectify. Like today, we were not better than Galaxy,” Riveiro said on SuperSport TV.
“It’s a moment of the game where they dominated us well. But we managed the game to pull our socks one more time against the people who were incredibly pushing us in a moment where we were struggling a little bit.
“Together we managed to have a fantastic beginning of the season, something that we were trying for in the previous two [seasons]. So, now it’s time to find the spaces where we can still do things better. It is always possible in football and surely it’s a good job that we did at the beginning of the season,” the Spanish tactician concluded.
The Buccaneers now have 18 points as they won all their games, six points ahead of second-placed Sundowns Sundowns, who can cut the deficit to three points if they beat a trick side like Cape Town City at Loftus Stadium on Wednesday.
As games are coming thick and fast, Pirates will host Richards Bay next week at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday.
