Sharks And Dolphins Lock Horns Again In Durban’s Ultimate Crossover Battle!

The Fin Cup T20 cricket showdown between the Hollywoodbets Dolphins and Hollywoodbets Sharks returns to Durban’s Kingsmead Stadium on Sunday, August 16, featuring a newly introduced legends curtain-raiser match and a schools fundraising initiative.

Powered by Hollywoodbets, the Fin Cup has quickly established itself as one of KwaZulu-Natal’s premier sporting events, bringing together two of the province’s most beloved sporting brands in a celebration of competition, unity and community spirit.

Legends Match Added to the Programme

A major new addition to this year’s event is the introduction of a Legends Match between the Dolphins Legends and Sharks Legends, scheduled to begin at 10:30. The curtain-raiser will kick off the day’s festivities ahead of the main T20 clash, which starts at 13:30.

A special activation involving Dolphins Kids and Sharks Kids will once again open proceedings, creating a family-friendly atmosphere from the first ball.

Schools Incentive and Competition

As part of the event’s commitment to supporting schools across KwaZulu-Natal, institutions that purchase bulk general-stand tickets will receive a 20% cashback reward paid directly to the school. This initiative offers schools a valuable fundraising opportunity while allowing learners and staff to enjoy a memorable day at the stadium.

In addition, a schools competition will run alongside the bulk ticket sales campaign. The two schools that purchase the highest number of tickets will earn a unique opportunity for their first-team captain or top-performing player to be included in one of the teams on match day.
