Mdantsane Leaves Chiefs On Loan

Richards Bay has signed Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane on loan until the end of the current season.

Mdantsane, who joined Chiefs from Cape Town City at the beginning of last season, has not featured for Amakhosi this season under new coach Nasreddine Nabi. This follows a car accident earlier in the season, which resulted in a broken jaw.

Following successful surgery and a smooth recovery, Mdantsane is now fully fit. However, with limited playing time at Chiefs, the club has decided to loan him out to Richards Bay to regain match fitness and rediscover his form.

Mdantsane will be a valuable addition to Richards Bay’s struggling attack. The club has scored only five goals and conceded 15 in 14 league matches, resulting in two wins, nine losses, and three draws. This leaves them third from bottom in the Betway Premiership, just one point above second-from-bottom side Royal AM.

Mdantsane will be eager to seize this opportunity to impress and return to Chiefs at the start of next season, as his contract with the club expires in 2026.

The Chiefs graduate boasts a successful career, including a Carling Knockout title in 2018 while captaining Baroka FC to victory over Orlando Pirates on penalties in Port Elizabeth.

The Mpumalanga-born attacker has made 212 appearances across all competitions, contributing 33 goals and 20 assists throughout his career.
