Chiefs Announce Third Signing

Kaizer Chiefs have completed another significant signing, confirming the acquisition of midfielder Ethan Chislett from Port Vale in England.

The Durban-born player, whose father Donovan previously played for Manning Rangers, marks the third signing announced by Chiefs this Tuesday, making it a notably busy day for Amakhosi.

“In midfield, Amakhosi have enlisted 26-year-old Ethan Chislett, an attacking midfielder known for his creative abilities,” Chiefs stated. “The Durban-born playmaker joins the Club after spending most of his playing career in England, as well as a stint in Spain. He recently enjoyed a successful season with Port Vale, where he provided key assists and created numerous scoring opportunities.”

Chislett joins striker Flávio Silva and defender Nkanyiso Shinga, who were also unveiled by the club earlier today.

“These first three signings and more that will follow reflect the Club’s commitment to improving the squad depth and overall performance for the 2025/26 season,” Chiefs commented. “The trio of players will travel with the rest of the squad to the Netherlands for a pre-season training camp on Thursday, 3 July.”

Following their return from the Netherlands, Chiefs are set to compete in the Toyota Cup against Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, Chislett’s hometown, on 26 July.
