2024 KZN Premier’s Cup Fixtures Unveiled

The 2024 KZN Premier’s Cup, a pre-season tournament in KwaZulu-Natal, was officially launched on Tuesday, with the fixtures revealed.
Defending champions AmaZulu will face Golden Arrows in the opening playoff match on 27 July at Prince Mangosuthu Stadium in Ulundi.
The second playoff will feature Royal AM, winners in 2021 and 2022, against Milford FC, also taking place on 27 July.
Richards Bay and Maritzburg United have received byes and will face each other in the semifinals on 28 July.
The winners of the AmaZulu/Golden Arrows and Royal AM/Milford FC matchups will meet in the other semifinal on 28 July.

Newly appointed KZN Premier Thami Ntuli expressed his support for the tournament, stating its importance for the development of provincial sports.
“This tournament is integral to developing sporting facilities not only in cities, but also in rural areas,” Ntuli said during the draw held at the Maharani Hotel in Durban. “That’s why we’ve brought the competition to Ulundi this year.”
He emphasized the tournament’s potential to bring financial benefits to all parts of the province through sport. Ntuli suggested that if suitable facilities exist in other rural towns, the Premier’s Cup could be held there in future years.
Bafana Bafana legend Siyabonga Nomvethe and former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo were confirmed as tournament ambassadors.
