Baroka Looking For A Fourth Coach This Season

Sportswire has learned that Motsepe Foundation Championship side Baroka FC is set to part ways with its coach, Foster Hlungwane.

This means Baroka FC, relegated from the PSL topflight in 2022, is rumoured to be searching for its fourth coach this season.

Hlungwane, who was appointed to replace Joel Masuthu, is rumoured he might be dismissed by the club following a 2-0 defeat to Kruger United on Tuesday.

Morgan Mammila was the first manager to be dismissed by the club in September, after failing to meet the club’s mandate.

According to a Sportswire source, the club has set its sights on Stan Nkoane of Venda FC.

Nkoane, who has previously coached Baroka FC, was absent from Venda FC’s match against Cape Town Spurs, which they won on Tuesday. Nkoane was serving a ban after he was red carded against Orbit College, but he is one of the coaches the club is interested in.

Rowan Hendricks and former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Luvhengo Mungomeni oversaw that game as assistant coaches.

Baroka FC, who reached the PSL Relegation and Promotion playoffs last season under Dan Malesela, are currently eighth in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with 29 points from 21 matches.

They are six points behind third-placed Orbit, the final playoff spot, who drew with league leaders Durban City on Wednesday.
