Ex-Pirates Star Finds A New Home In Zim PSL

Former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United striker Terrence Dzvukamanja has joined Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League newcomers Scottland FC on a free transfer after his exit from the Tshwane outfit at the end of last season.

The move ended an eight-year stay in South Africa as the player touched down in July 2018 from Ngezi Platinum of Zimbabwe, to sign for the now-defunct Bidvest Wits, where he spent two seasons before the club was sold.

Following the sale of the Clever Boys, Dzvukamanja, along with Thabang Monare, Thulani Hlatshwayo, and Deon Hotto, joined Pirates and won the MTN8 trophy in their maiden season under the tutelage of German mentor Josef Zinnbauer.

With the Soweto giants, the Zimbabwe international lifted a total of three trophies in the form of two MTN8 titles and one Nedbank Cup silverware, scoring a last-gasp winning goal against Sekhukhune United in the Ke Yona Cup triumph in the 2022/23 campaign under Jose Riveiro.

However, the forward abruptly parted ways with the Sea Robbers after his cup final heroics, citing family reasons, only to resurface at SuperSport a few weeks later to reunite with his former coach, Gavin Hunt.

At Matsatsantsa, Dzvukamanja spent two seasons as the club survived relegation in his final season as they registered a dismal 14th place finish in the Betway Premiership – a below-par standing that saw Hunt relieved of his duties before the conclusion of the season.

Now, back in his homeland, the 31-year-old will play alongside former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star Khama Billiat and Walter Musona at the megarich newly promoted side that was founded in 2023.

Scottland are currently in fourth place in the Zimbabwean Premier League with 28 points accumulated from 17 league outings. Dzvukamanja is in contention to make his debut when his new team locks horns against CAPS United in the Harare derby on Sunday.
