AmaZulu Tracking Free Agent Phiri

Lebogang Phiri is being tracked by the Durban side AmaZulu, according to Sportswire.
Phiri is currently a free agent after his contract with French second-division club Guingamp expired at the end of last season.
This was his second time playing for the French side, where he was a player from 2017 to 2021.
Career History
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder, who has six caps and one goal for the national team, was previously linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
However, sources have indicated to Sportswire that AmaZulu is showing a keen interest and that Phiri may soon be heading to Durban.
Phiri, 31, is a product of the Bidvest Wits academy and has been playing abroad since the 2012/13 season. He first moved to Danish club Brøndby, where he played until 2017.
In addition to his two stints at Guingamp, he also played for Turkish club Rizespor in the 2021/22 season and Paris FC in the 2022/23 season.
Throughout his career, Phiri has appeared in 298 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists.
If AmaZulu successfully signs Phiri, he would be their second recent acquisition, following the signing of Thabiso Kutumela.
