
South African Football Association (SAFA) NEC member Linda Zwane has been cleared to stand for a seat on the COSAFA Executive Committee.
Zwane, who also serves as deputy to SAFA president Danny Jordaan, will contest the EXCO position during COSAFA’s elections, scheduled to take place in Zimbabwe on 17 May.
Zwane was elected as a SASCOC board member at a SASCOC Quadrennial General Meeting held in Johannesburg in November 2024.
Below is the final list of candidates, as confirmed by the Electoral Committee following the completion of eligibility and integrity checks by the Governance and Compliance Committee.

A total of eight candidates successfully met the eligibility and integrity requirements.
The positions of President, Vice-President, and the reserved women’s seat are uncontested.
Five candidates will contest four available positions on the Executive Committee.
The election will be conducted by secret ballot at the Elective Annual General Assembly on 17 May in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The Electoral Committee will supervise the voting process in accordance with the COSAFA Electoral Code.
