Arrows Add Two New Players

Golden Arrows have announced the signing of two new players: striker Isaac Cisse and goalkeeper Thakasani Mbanjwa.

Mbanjwa, previously on the books of Siwelele, is in the starting lineup for Abafana Bes’Thende’s match against Sekhukhune United at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Cisse, a striker from the Ivory Coast, joins from Société Omnisports de l’Armée.

He is the third Ivorian to join Arrows, following the acquisition of Junior Dion from AmaZulu during the off-season and Oumar Komara.

Mbanjwa, who has also played for Moroka Swallows, Bidvest Wits, Cape United, and the University of Pretoria, signed with Arrows after a brief stint with Siwelele, a club that acquired SuperSport’s status during the off-season.

He had made one appearance for the struggling team this season before joining Arrows. Mbanjwa was also part of the South African squad that lost to Angola in the COSAFA Cup final in June.

During his time at SuperSport, he won the MTN8 in the 2017/18 season and was a runner-up in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2017 with the now-defunct Pretoria club.
