Chiefs Assistant Coach: Believe In The Process

Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef acknowledged that the team is not satisfied with the inconsistent results but emphasized their belief in the current process.

Chiefs suffered a 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this past weekend, marking their fifth league loss of the season.

Despite the loss, they remain sixth in the Betway Premiership with 18 points after 13 matches. They have scored 16 goals and conceded the same number.

However, assistant coach Ben Youssef stressed the need to quickly move past the Arrows’ defeat. “We don’t have time, that is football,” he said.

“Every day – you win or you lose, you have to prepare for the next game. If we won this game or if we lost this game, you have to be prepared for the next one.

“We did what we have to do. For sure, we are not happy about the situation, but we are ready to prepare the players.

“We will have two days’ rest with the players and then we will come back and continue working. We believe what we are doing, we know what we have to do.

“All the players believe in the capacity and they know what they have to do. We have to continue to work, there is no solution about working.

“To get the results, you have to work and we will continue working.”

Chiefs will return to Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium, the venue of their recent loss, to host third-placed Sekhukhune United on Sunday (15:30).

However, Chiefs will be without head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who will be serving the first of a two-match suspension after being sent off against Arrows last weekend.
