Egyptian side Caremica Cleopatra have signed Fagri Lakay on a one-year loan deal from Pyramids FC.  

The move is part of a swap deal, as Pyramids recently finalised the signing of Nigerian striker Sodik Awujoola .  

Caremica have an option to make Lakay loan move permanent at the end of the season which began on 30 October.  

His contract with Pyramids is set to expire in June 2025.  

Last season the former Cape Town City striker scored 12 goals across all competitions in 38 appearances and helped Pyramids to win their first major trophy after they lifted the Egyptian cup.  

The trio of Mohammad Reda,Youssef Nabih and Abdallah Magdy were also followed by Lakay out of the Pyramids as part of the same deal. 

Lakay joined Pyramids from City in the second half of the 2021/22 season.
