Dyantyi Lands Two-Year Deal With Vodacom Bulls

Former Sharks winger Aphiwe Dyantyi has found a new home with the Vodacom Bulls, signing a two-year contract that keeps him at Loftus Versfeld until June 2026.
Released by the Sharks after nine matches (seven starts) without scoring a try, Dyantyi views this as a “second opportunity.” He acknowledges the need to regain fitness after his four-year ban but looks forward to a familiar environment.
“Having spent over 10 years in Gauteng, this feels like coming home,” says the 29-year-old. “I’m closer to family and support systems, and I’m grateful to Jake White and Edgar Rathbone for this chance.”
Dyantyi is no stranger to success. His impressive 2018 season with the Emirates Lions earned him a Springbok cap, six tries in 13 tests, and the 2018 World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year award. The versatile back, who can play flyhalf, outside center, and fullback, will primarily contribute as a winger for the Bulls.
