Orlando Pirates’ Patrick Maswanganyi dominated the midfield categories at the 2023/24 PSL Awards, held on Sunday evening.

He secured the DStv Premiership Players’ Player of the Season, Midfielder of the Season, and Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament awards.

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams mirrored Maswanganyi’s success, claiming both the PSL Footballer of the Season and DStv Premiership Goalkeeper of the Season accolades.

Other notable winners included Orlando Pirates’ rising star Relebohile Mofokeng (DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season & Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player), Mamelodi Sundowns’ duo Rhulani Mokwena (Coach of the Season) and Grant Kekana (Defender of the Season), and Orlando Pirates’ Tshegofatso Mabasa (Top Goal Scorer) and Thabiso Lebitso (Goal of the Season).

The awards ceremony also recognized Devin Titus (Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament), Sipho Chaine (MTN8 Last Man Standing), Prince Nxumalo (Motsepe Foundation Championship Top Goal Scorer), Ntando Nkosi (DStv Diski Challenge Player of the Season), and Thabang Mahlangu (DStv Diski Challenge Top Goal Scorer).

Sikhumbuzo Gasa and Romario Phiri were awarded Assistant Referee and Referee of the Season, respectively.
