Protea Women Reach World Cup Final

Protea Women have reached the World Cup T20 final after beating holders Australia in the semifinal on Thursday.

Australia, who are holders of the competition, won the toss to bat first. The Proteas were chasing 134-5 in 20 overs. But when it was their turn to bat, they were flawless in the crease.

Player of the Match – Anneke Bosch, delivered a stunning 74 off 48 balls to lead the Proteas Women to the final to 135-2 with three overs to go, to reach their second successful World Cup final.

They will face the winner of New Zealand or West Indies in the final. Protea Women will hope to do much better than the men who choked in the T20 final against India early this year.

As the saying goes, no DNA, just South Africa.
