The Hollywoodbets Super League delivered exciting action over the weekend, with matchday six bringing surprises and thrilling matches. 

Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns dropped points in a 0-0 draw against Copper Belts at Seshego Stadium. Despite the stalemate, Sundowns remain log leaders with 16 points.

In KwaZulu-Natal, Royal AM and Durban Ladies continue to struggle, failing to register their first victories of the season. Royal AM lost 3-1 to JVW Girls, while Durban Ladies suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of First Touch Ladies.

University of Fort Hare has shown significant improvement this season, sitting in second place with 11 points after a convincing 7-2 win over newly promoted UCT Ladies. 

Other notable results include University of Pretoria’s 3-2 win over Richmond United, TUT Matsatsantsa’s 1-0 victory over UWC Ladies, and TS Galaxy Queens’ 2-0 hammering of UJ Ladies.

The league will resume on Wednesday, with all teams in action. Sundowns will face City Lads, while UJ will host struggling Royal AM. 

University of Fort Hare will take on Ezemvelo, and UCT will travel to Limpopo to face First Touch. Richmond Ladies will welcome Durban Ladies, and UWC will face TS Galaxy Queens in a highly anticipated match.

The Pretoria Derby between the University of Pretoria and TUT Matsatsantsa promises to be exciting, while JVW Girls will look to build on their momentum against Copper Belts. With several teams vying for top spots, the upcoming matches are set to deliver thrilling action.

Sundowns’ draw may have allowed other teams to close the gap, but the defending champions will aim to regroup and continue their dominance.
