Tshituka Signs Sharks Contract Extension Until 2029

Springbok loose forward Vincent Tshituka has signed a contract extension with the Hollywoodbets Sharks, committing his future to the Durban-based team until 2029.

In a social media post, the Sharks confirmed that the versatile Tshituka has extended his contract until 2029.

Born in Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tshituka has become a key figure within the squad, valued not only for his versatility but also for his leadership and team-first mentality.

He has been a consistent presence for the Sharks and was singled out this season by coach JP Pietersen for his performances, passion for the jersey, physicality, and relentless work rate.

The 27-year-old, who is comfortable across the entire back row, enjoyed a rapid rise through the professional ranks after beginning his career with the Lions before joining the Sharks in 2022.

Tshituka has since gone on to represent the Springboks, first featuring against the Barbarians in Cape Town last year before earning his official Test debut against Italy at Loftus Versfeld.

The Sharks have recently enjoyed a wave of positive retention news, with both Bradley Davids and Springbok Ethan Hooker also signing contract extensions through to 2029 earlier this week.

As the Sharks continue striving for the right balance between youth and experience, Tshituka’s extension is another significant boost for the squad and further strengthens the growing sense of momentum within the camp.
