Zwane And Vilakazi United For Relegation Fight

AmaZulu co-coach Arthur Zwane has emphasized that he and Vusi Vilakazi are equals in their joint mission to lift the club out of the relegation zone.
Both coaches have been tasked with leading Usuthu back to stability after a disappointing start to the season, which resulted in the dismissal of the previous coach Pablo Franco Martin, and the club lying at the bottom of the Betway Premiership table with zero points.
President Sandile Zungu expressed his desire for AmaZulu to secure a top-four finish by the end of the season, and the coaching changes were implemented with this goal in mind.
Zwane expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I will start by saying, we are already enjoying ourselves,” said Zwane, who was redeployed at Kaizer Chiefs
“We share the responsibility, there is no case where the other one is above and the other one is not, we respect each other, we have the same level of respect for each other on and off the field.
“Because the most important thing for us, like I said, is about the club. It’s not about Arthur Zwane, it’s not about coach Kanu, not about any other person but about the club.
“The club is bigger than us, so we are here to make sure that things are running smooth, we have to make sure that the team goes back to where it belongs and grind the results.
“We can do all the good things but if the team doesn’t win, but lose we will still be at the bottom of the log, what we are saying? The status is at stake, lots of million involved.
“We want to take the team from bottom and make sure that we are in the respectable position and the rest will follow. So, we will take one step at the time.”
Both Vilakazi and Zwane will have their first opportunity to lead Usuthu in the Carling Cup round of 16 against defending champions Stellenbosch at King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday (19:00).
