Nabi Stressed: My Players Can’t Take Good Decisions
Following Kaizer Chiefs’ 4-0 loss in the Carling Knockout quarterfinal against Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium on Saturday, Nasreddine Nabi revealed that there’s a lot needs to be done by Amakhosi to bounce back to their winning ways.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys lost their third game of the season in all competitions to Sundowns, with Chiefs having come to this game having won 4-0 against the neighbors of Sundowns, SuperSport United in the Last 16 of the Carling Knockout.
Nabi admits that his team sometimes makes bad decisions and there’s a lot that needs to be done to start winning again.
“You will be very simple if you had to change your way of playing or your game plan every day,” Nabi said.
“It’s true that we played against a quality team which they were pressing high and we knew that it was going to happen. We need to improve our decision-making, we need to improve our technique, we need to improve our confidence. Sometimes the players get the ball but make bad decisions, they don’t take good decisions.”
Amakhosi suffered a blow on Saturday as the vice-captain Inacio Miguel got a red card. The Angolan defender was coming to another suspension as he missed their league game on Wednesday against Magesi as he had four yellow cards under his name.
Miguel will miss their games against Richards Bay at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 27 November and four days later against Royal AM at FNB Stadium.
The former Petro de Luanda defender will return next month when Chiefs face Polokwane City in Polokwane. The Phefeni Glamour Boys have also Edson Castillo who is also out for four to five months due to the injury he got in their 1-0 league loss to SuperSport last month.
