Mdaka Praises Mnyamane’s Contributions Ahead Of U20 AFCON

South African national football team U20 coach Raymond Mdaka has highlighted the crucial role of video analysts in the team’s preparations for the upcoming U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
Mdaka praised the team’s video analyst, Thabo Mnyamane, a former SuperSport United midfielder, for his valuable contributions to the team’s training and match-day strategies.
Mnyamane, who is also working as a video analyst for Sekhukhune United’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team, has been instrumental in helping the technical team and players analyze and improve their performance in Amajita.
“In modern football, analysts are very important to the team because they help the technical team as well as the players,” Mdaka said.
“They help us in training and also during the match days. We are happy with our analyst, and they are very helpful.”
As Amajita prepares to take on the challenge of the U20 AFCON, Mdaka expressed satisfaction with the team’s preparations.
“The preparations are going well because we’ve been having the boys now and then, and also monitoring them since we picked the group of players that we are having,” he said.
Mdaka added that the team is aware of the challenges they will face in the tournament and is planning accordingly.
“One would say the preparations are ok, we know we are going to play with, we know we are playing who. So, it’s just to see how much we plan for whatever situations we will face.”
The U20 AFCON is scheduled to take place in Egypt from April 27 to May 18. Amajita will face stiff competition in the tournament against hosts Egypt, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Zambia.
With Mnyamane’s expertise as a video analyst, the team is well-equipped to analyze and improve their performance.
