Basadien, Ribeiro, Lilepo Up For The PSL Goal Of The Season Award

The Betway Premiership Goal of the Season Award has narrowed down its nominees to three exceptional goals scored by Glody Lilepo of Kaizer Chiefs, Lucas Ribeiro of Mamelodi Sundowns, and Fawaaz Basadien of Stellenbosch FC.

Each player showcased their skill and creativity in scoring remarkable goals that helped their teams secure crucial wins.

Basadien’s goal in a Cape Town derby against Cape Town City stood out, as he scored from his own half, catching veteran goalkeeper Darren Keet off guard with his precise long-range shot.

Ribeiro’s goal in Mamelodi Sundowns’ 4-1 thrashing of Orlando Pirates in February was equally impressive, as he skillfully beat multiple defenders to find the back of the net.

Lilepo, who joined Kaizer Chiefs in January, earned recognition for his stunning goal from outside the box in Amakhosi’s 2-1 loss to Marumo Gallants at FNB Stadium in May.

These three outstanding goals are now in contention for the Goal of the Season Award, showcasing the talent and flair of the Betway Premiership.
