Maswanganyi Pays Tribute To Khoza After Completing Alkhaldiya SC Transfer

Outgoing Orlando Pirates playmaker Patrick “Tito” Maswanganyi has expressed immense gratitude to the club, describing wearing the iconic black and white jersey as a privilege and highlighting chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza’s profound impact on his growth.

Orlando Pirates officially confirmed on Monday that the attacking midfielder has joined Bahrain Premier League side Alkhaldiya Sports Club for an undisclosed transfer fee.

Maswanganyi paid tribute to Dr. Khoza’s leadership following the announcement.

“Wearing the black and white jersey was a huge privilege for me,” Maswanganyi stated. “The Chairman, Dr. Irvin Khoza, played an incredible role in my personal development and career during my time at Orlando Pirates.”

The 28-year-old midfielder leaves the Buccaneers following a highly successful spell in Soweto. Across 120 appearances in all competitions, “Tito” delivered 28 goals and 21 assists, cementing his reputation as one of the country’s most dynamic playmakers.

Since arriving from SuperSport United in June 2023, Maswanganyi played an indispensable role in one of the most decorated periods in the club’s modern history, capturing six major trophies.

His individual accolades at Pirates include the prestigious PSL Players’ Player of the Season award for the 2023/24 campaign, as well as playing a starring role in the club’s historic domestic treble.
