Ouaddou Praises “Impact Players” After Siwelele Win

Orlando Pirates coach Abdelsam Ouaddou has lauded his players, particularly the substitutes, following their hard-fought 1-0 victory against Siwelele FC in a Betway Premiership match at Toyota Stadium on Tuesday.
The decisive moment came from a player who came off the bench at halftime, Oswin Appollis, who scored the winning goal with 10 minutes left in the game. The victory moved the Buccaneers to fourth place in the league table with 12 points from six matches.
“I’m a very happy coach. I told you that I have a fantastic dressing room,” Ouaddou said in a post-match interview with SuperSport TV.

Appollis has recently been a standout performer for the Pirates, consistently making an impact from the bench. His late winner against Siwelele continues a streak of key contributions.
The Bafana Bafana international, signed from Polokwane City in the off-season, also scored in the team’s 3-0 victory over Lioli in the CAF Champions League preliminary round in the first leg at the Bloemfontein vene.
Additionally, he played a crucial role in the MTN8 final win against Stellenbosch FC and made a significant impact in the victory over Chippa United before the international break.
“All the guys who come into the pitch, they have the ambition to change the game, they are fantastic. I call them impact players,” Ouaddou added.
“That’s why I call them impact players, because they are here to change the game. And since a few games, it’s what they did, and I hope they will continue like that.”
