Leon: I’m Here To Win Titles

Mamelodi Sundowns’ new signing Brayan Leon has revealed the reason for his joining the Tshwane Giants on a three-year contract with an option to extend by a further year.

The striker was signed from Independiente Medellín for over R50 million, where he scored 33 goals and provided 17 assists in 118 games.

Sundowns pulled the player in to bolster their attacking department, having also secured the signing of Monnapule Saleng from Orlando Pirates, along with the defender Khulumane Ndamane from TS Galaxy.

These signings may suggest that Sundowns are looking to compete for the Nedbank Cup, CAF Champions League, which they lost last season, and the Betway Premiership league, where they are defending champions.

Leon said he chose Sundowns because of looking for new challenges and sees it as the best and most successful club.

“I chose Sundowns because of the new challenges,” said Leon.

“I think this is the best team, the most successful and well. I think it’s always great to have these new challenges and to be a champion here.

“I really hope to return the favor. I already mentioned that Sundowns is the most successful team. I think that’s what I’m here for, to win, to win titles, and to make it even bigger than it already is.

Amasandawana will resume their league games on Monday, where they will take on Orbit College at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
