“A Powerful Moment” – KZN Sport Backs Milford With Triple-Bus Boost Ahead Of Nedbank Cup
Ahead of their Nedbank Cup semi-final, Milford FC received a significant morale boost during a prayer session held to wish the team success in their pursuit of the final.
The KwaZulu-Natal-based side is set to face TS Galaxy in the “Ke Yona” semi-final at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium this Sunday. With the club on the verge of making history, the KZN Department of Sport, Arts and Culture organized a send-off session to offer well-wishes before the team’s departure.
“The send-off prayer for Milford FC was a powerful and inspiring moment, bringing together dignitaries from various districts in a show of unity and support,” the department stated. “The event was a great success, filled with hope, encouragement, and pride for the team.”
On behalf of the MEC and HOD, Head of Ministry Mrs. Mashaba wished the players well and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to their journey. She further announced practical support for the club’s supporters and staff: “We are providing the club with three buses, as well as accommodation for management members in need.”
Milford FC is currently chasing two major milestones in South African football. In addition to their cup run, they are locked in a tight battle for promotion to the Betway Premiership via the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Should they overcome TS Galaxy, they will face the winner of the Saturday semi-final between Durban City and Casric Stars, scheduled for Chatsworth Stadium.
