Magesi dropped points for the first time in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after being held to a 1-1 draw by Hungry Lions at Seshego Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Dikwena Tsa Meetse came into the match looking to make it five wins from five after winning all four of their previous league matches.
However, the draw leaves Magesi top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship standings with 13 points, while second-placed Real Native are just one point behind.
Real Native have collected 12 points from five matches after securing a 2-0 victory over Venda at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Friday.
Also on Friday, Highbury played to a goalless draw against Gomora United at Nelson Mandela University Stadium.
Cape Town City also dropped points on Saturday after being held to a 0-0 draw by North-West University away from home. The Citizens head into the FIFA international break in sixth position with eight points from their opening five matches.
There was plenty of action elsewhere, with the University of Pretoria and Upington City sharing six goals in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium.
Orbit College, meanwhile, suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Hope FC at Athlone Stadium.
The Bees secured a 1-0 victory over Lerumo Lions at Kanyamazane Stadium, while Leicesterford City defeated Midlands Wanderers at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
