PSL Confirms Dates, Venues And Kick-Off Times For Carling
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for the Carling Knockout Cup Round of 16 fixtures.
Following last week’s draw, the opening round of matches will get underway this weekend. However, South Africa’s “Big Three”—Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Kaizer Chiefs—along with Durban City, will have their fixtures moved to midweek next week due to their CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup commitments.
Lamontville Golden Arrows will kick off the tournament when they host Chippa United at King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Later that evening, Polokwane City will welcome Siwelele FC to Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The action continues on Sunday as debutants Kruger United face AmaZulu FC at Mbombela Stadium, before Sekhukhune United conclude the weekend’s fixtures against Richards Bay FC at New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
On Tuesday, 27 October, fresh off their MTN8 triumph, Mamelodi Sundowns host last season’s finalists Marumo Gallants at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
On the same evening, defending champions Orlando Pirates entertain KZN side Milford FC at the Orlando Amstel Arena, while Kaizer Chiefs lock horns with TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium.
The Round of 16 wraps up on Wednesday, 28 October, when Durban City host Stellenbosch FC at Chatsworth Stadium.
