Adams Opens Up On Return To Form At Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams has opened up about his return to form after facing a difficult period that saw his performances decline and his playing time limited to appearances off the bench.
Adams lost form in the first half of the season, which ultimately contributed to him losing his place in the squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations national team.
He also faced heavy criticism from fans, who questioned whether his move from Stellenbosch to Sundowns was the right decision, given the tough competition for places at the club.
However, the 25-year-old appears to have regained his form and continues to demonstrate his quality to coach Miguel Cardoso week in and week out.
He has regained Cardoso’s trust and recently earned a Man of the Match award in their 3–1 victory against Sekhukhune United on Sunday.
Adams expressed that he took the second chance given to him by the coach with both hands and is determined to use it to help the club achieve its goals.
“Fortunately, I got the chance in the new year,” Adams.
“I was able to showcase my talent again, and I took the chance with both hands. I just want to help Sundowns get good results and to fight for the league and the CAF Champions League.”
