Amajita Striker Leaves Siwelele For Belgium Club

Siwelele has confirmed that Siviwe Magididigi has left the club to join Belgian side K. Beerschot V.A.

The move had been on the cards after Siwelele revealed a few days ago that they were in talks with the Belgian club regarding the Amajita striker.

The club had initially turned down the first offer, stating that it did not reflect the value Magididigi had brought to the team, nor the impact they believed he was still capable of making.

However, the deal has now been concluded, with Siwelele officially bidding farewell to the player.

“Siwelele FC confirms the transfer of Siviwe Magididigi to Belgian side K. Beerschot V.A,” the club said in a statement.

“We wish him nothing but success as he takes the next step in his career. Exciting times lie ahead as we continue to strengthen the squad for the second half of the season.”

Magididigi was part of the Amajita squad that reached the knockout stages of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in October last year, scoring two goals in four matches before South Africa were eliminated by Colombia.

The 20-year-old leaves a significant gap at Siwelele in their first season after purchasing the status of SuperSport United during the off-season.

Having been promoted to the first team this season, Magididigi departs the club with four goals from 12 league appearances.
