Amakhosi Aims To Bounce Back With The Victory Against Magesi

Kaizer Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler says it is vitally important for them to get back to winning ways against Magesi at FNB Stadium on Tuesday (19:30) since they have lost two-back-to-back matches.

The Phefeni Glamour lost 1-0 in the Betway Premiership match against Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, having also lost the previous match to SuperSport United, who crushed them 4-1 at the calabash.

However, the former Bidvest Wits defender Frosler, who is the longest serving member at the club, says they are aiming for the victory in this game.

“We are coming from a difficult match against Mamelodi Sundowns, and I don’t think we played badly because we tried by all means to win. We didn’t capitalise with our chances and they used just one chance very well,” Frosler reflected on the loss.

“During the week, we are playing against Magesi, I think it will be an interesting game.

“I think it will give us our strengths and backup as we lost to Sundowns during the weekend. We are now focusing on this game, take it from there and see what we are going to do, how we can capitalise, and how we can beat Magesi.”

These two sides played to a 2-2 draw last year at Peter Mokaba Stadium in the reverse fixture, with Mduduzi Shabalala scoring a brace for Amakhosi while Wonderboy Makhubu and Edmore Chirambandare scored the two goals for Dikwena Tsa Meetse.

Nasreddine Nabi’s Chiefs enter this game currently sitting eighth in the Betway Premiership with 25 points after 19 games. Magesi, on the other hand, is lying in the 15th position with only 17 points.
