AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu confirmed the club has parted ways with long-time sponsor Spar and sleeve sponsor Grindrod.

“The Spar sponsorship concluded at the end of last season,” Zungu explained at the press conference on Monday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

“They’ve been a crucial partner for AmaZulu for four decades, possibly the longest-running sponsorship in DStv Premiership history. We owe them a great deal for their contribution to the team’s growth.”

Zungu emphasized the impermanence of partnerships: “While all good things come to an end, this presents an exciting opportunity for something new and improved.”

AmaZulu will unveil new sponsors at a press conference held later this month at Zunguness, Zungu’s establishment near Pietermaritzburg. This event will also showcase the team’s new signings and official kit.

“We’re confident you’ll find the upcoming sponsorship announcement exciting,” Zungu said. “Grindrod’s sleeve sponsorship also ended last season, and we won’t be replacing them at this time.”

“Look forward to the end-of-month press conference,” he continued, “where we’ll reveal our exciting new signings in style. Several players have already joined the team camp in Gauteng, and the technical team reports everything is on track.”
