Bafana AFCON Qualifiers: Venues, Fixtures, And Ticket Details Confirmed
Shortly after announcing that Morena Ramoreboli will join Pitso Mosimane as Bafana Bafana’s assistant coach, the South African Football Association (SAFA) confirmed the venues for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Bafana Bafana will host Serhou Guirassy and Guinea at the Orlando Amstel Arena on 26 September. Tickets are already on sale, priced at R100.00 for adults and R40.00 for children under 12, with hospitality packages also available.
Four days later, Bafana travel to Cairo, Egypt, to face Eritrea in their second Group match at the Al-Salam Stadium on Wednesday, 30 September. They will then wrap up their away schedule with an international friendly against Egypt at the Cairo International Stadium on 4 October.
Encouraging supporters ahead of the match against Guinea, SAFA President Danny Jordaan said: “We encourage families and fans to come out in their numbers to support the team as we begin this new era under coach Pitso Mosimane”.
Mosimane, who succeeded Hugo Broos, announced his preliminary squad last week and is set to reveal the final list in the coming days. SAFA added that further Bafana Bafana updates will follow as preparations for the clash against Guinea continue.
