CAF Confirms Interclub Group Stage Draw For Monday

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has confirmed that the CAF Interclub Group Stage Draw for both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup will take place on Monday.
The draw will be hosted at the studios of CAF’s broadcast partner, SuperSport, in Johannesburg, South Africa, starting at 13h00 local time.
Draw Schedule:
- TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup: 13h00 SA time (11h00 GMT)
- CAF Champions League: 14h00 SA time (12h00 GMT)
Fans can follow the draw live on CAF’s official digital platforms.
This weekend marks the final qualification round for both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup (2025/26 season), as second-leg fixtures across the continent will determine the 16 teams advancing to the group stages, which kick off in November.
South African Clubs in Action
Orlando Pirates face a tough task when they host St Eloi Lupopo at Orlando Stadium, after suffering a 3-0 defeat in the first leg in Congo during the second preliminary round.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns are in a commanding position following a 5-1 away victory over Remo Stars in Nigeria. It would take a major upset to deny the Tshwane giants a place in the group stages. Sundowns reached the CAF Champions League final last season, losing to Pyramids FC.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Kaizer Chiefs will host AS Simba of Congo after earning a draw in the first leg last weekend.
Stellenbosch FC, who reached the semi-finals of last season’s tournament, also secured a goalless draw away to 15 de Agosto de Akonibe in Equatorial Guinea and will host the return leg at home this weekend.
