Chiefs Lose First Game Of Season In DStv Diski Challenge

Defending champions Kaizer Chiefs suffered a setback in the DStv Diski Challenge, losing 1-0 to TS Galaxy at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Sunday.
Amakhosi had started the season on a high note, winning their first two games against Orbit College and Stellenbosch. However, their unbeaten run came to an abrupt end due to a silly own goal.
In the fifth minute, a miscommunication between goalkeeper Naphali Mokoena and defender Gopolang Taunyana resulted in an own goal, handing TS Galaxy a 1-0 victory.
In other matches played on Sunday, Magesi drew 1-1 with Siwelele at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium, while Stellenbosch secured a 2-0 win over Richards Bay. Orbit College beat Marumo Gallants 1-0, and AmaZulu thrashed Polokwane City 4-1 at home.
On Saturday, Orlando Pirates edged Chippa United 1-0, Mamelodi Sundowns dominated Durban City 5-2, and Sekhukhune United won 3-0 against Golden Arrows.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) reserve league will continue next weekend with exciting fixtures.
Pirates will host TS Galaxy at UJ Soweto Stadium on Saturday, while Orbit College will visit Arrows at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium. Marumo Gallants will face Chippa United at Dr. Molemela Stadium on the same day.
On Sunday, Chiefs will welcome AmaZulu at FNB Stadium, and Siwelele will host Stellenbosch at UJ Soweto Stadium.
Magesi will travel to Chatsworth Stadium to face Durban City, and a Limpopo Derby will take place between Polokwane City and Sekhukhune United at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Sundowns will face Richards Bay at Tuks Stadium in the day’s final match.
