City Confirms Latest Departure
Cape Town City has confirmed that Kajally Drammeh has completed a two-year transfer to Armenian club FC Van.
The Gambian youth international spent last season on loan at Future FC in Egypt.
“Cape Town City and Armenian Premier League side, FC Van have agreed to terms over the transfer of Kajally Drammeh. Wishing you all the best in Europe, Kajally,” said City in a statement.
Drammeh joined City from Gambian side Real De Banjul in January 2022, alongside Brice Ambina, Mogamat May, and Darwin Gonzalez.
The young midfielder attracted interest from several European clubs, including Anderlecht, Midtjylland, Slovan Bratislava, and FC Torino, before choosing to move to Cape Town.
He was a standout performer at the 2021 U-20 AFCON, helping Gambia reach the knockout stages where they finished third after losing to Tunisia.
