Dayimani To Rejoin Stormers With Immediate Effect

French Top 14 side Racing 92 have confirmed that South African loose forward Hacjivah Dayimani has left the club with immediate effect to rejoin the Stormers.

The No. 8 departed the Stormers in 2024 to join the French outfit on a two-year contract, at a time when Racing also featured Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and Trevor Nyakane.

However, after almost two seasons in France, Dayimani will return to South Africa to link up again with John Dobson’s side, which has at times set the benchmark in rugby this season.

“Racing 92 and Hacjivah Dayimani have mutually agreed to end their collaboration,” the club said in a statement.

“This decision, taken for personal reasons, will allow the South African back-row forward to return home to be with his family.

“Having always conducted himself in an exemplary manner with the club and his teammates, Racing 92 has agreed to facilitate this early departure.

“Arriving at the club for the 2024/25 season, Hacjivah Dayimani wore the Ciel et Blanc jersey 19 times.

“Racing 92 thanks Hacjivah Dayimani for his commitment and wishes him all the best for the rest of his career.

“For his part, Hacjivah thanks Racing 92 for the trust placed in him and wishes the club every success for the remainder of the season.”

Dayimani, who made 19 appearances for Racing 92, could be available for the Stormers’ next match against the Lions at Ellis Park on 28 February.
