‘Every House Has A Toilet’: Ncikazi Fires Back Over Pirates Exit Rumours

Golden Arrows coach Mandla Ncikazi left journalists red-faced, stating he will not address reports of a fallout with Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou and emphasizing that the truth will remain behind closed doors.

Ncikazi departed Pirates after this website was informed that his working relationship with Ouaddou had become untenable, with the Moroccan tactician allegedly demanding Ncikazi’s removal under threat of resignation.

As the saying goes, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” and Ncikazi ultimately departed the Soweto giants to take the head coaching role at Golden Arrows.

Ncikazi has now suffered back-to-back defeats at Arrows, most recently being knocked out of the Carling Knockout quarter-finals by Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday.

When questioned after the match about his departure from Pirates, Ncikazi firmly shut down the topic, explaining that commenting would be disrespectful to both his former and current employers.

“Guys, for the future, as a principle and as a man of my age, you don’t talk ill about your employer, because you offend them,” Ncikazi said.

“Equally, when I start talking about my former employer, I am offending my current employer.

“Every house has a toilet. As a man, you don’t have a responsibility to tell every family about the challenges in your own family. I’m just a man. Even if there was a problem, you are not going to know.

“Because I am a man, I have a responsibility to protect the environment that I work for, irrespective of what that environment is.

“In every club that I have worked for, there are issues, but I don’t have a responsibility to tell them publicly. As a coach, you are the CEO of the company, so you protect the environment.

“I have no comment; I have no issue to answer. Just in the future, I won’t answer such questions because I respect the environment.”

Coincidentally, Ncikazi’s next fixture will see him face his former side when Golden Arrows take on Pirates on 28 November.
