Former PSL Star Joins Billiat Back In Zimbabwe
Ambitious Zimbabwe Northern Region Division One club Scottland FC has signed former SuperSport United and Chippa United defender Ronald Pfumbudzai.
The Harare-born player has been without a club since parting ways with Matsantsantsa A Pitori in June of this year. After joining SuperSport from Chippa United in July 2023, he made 15 appearances across all competitions for Gavin Hunt’s side.
However, Pfumbudzai found playing time limited due to the presence of compatriot and veteran left-back Onismor Bhasera.
Previously, Pfumbudzai represented Bloemfontein Celtic, losing to Hunt’s Bidvest Wits team in the Carling Knockout final in Durban during the 2017/18 season.
He is the latest high-profile player to join Scottland, following in the footsteps of former Royal AM striker Cleopas Dube, King Nadolo, and Allan Gahadzika.
He will link up with experienced players like Jimmy Dzingai, former University of Pretoria striker Denver Mukamba, and ex-Kaizer Chiefs defender Lincoln Zvasiya.
Scottland currently sits in second place with 38 points after 19 matches, three points behind log leaders Black Rhinos.
Pfumbudzai’s move joins those of Khama Billiat and Evans Rusike, who have also returned to Zimbabwe after their PSL careers, with the latter duo joining Yadah FC.
