KZN Esports Federation, KZN Department Launch Major Esports Tournament
The KZN Esports Federation, in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, has officially announced an exciting Esports Tournament set to involve all 10 districts of the eThekwini Metro.
The event marks a significant milestone in the growth of competitive gaming and digital sports development within the province.
The highly anticipated tournament will take place on Saturday, 14 February 2026, and will feature two of the world’s most popular esports titles, FC26 and Tekken 8. These games were selected to appeal to a wide range of gamers, from football simulation enthusiasts to fans of high-intensity fighting games.
The tournament is open to eligible gamers across all districts of eThekwini, offering players a platform to showcase their skills, compete at a high level and be part of the rapidly growing esports ecosystem in KwaZulu-Natal.
Organisers say the event aims to promote digital inclusion, youth participation, and talent identification through structured esports competition.
Interested participants are required to register via the official online registration form. Players are encouraged to complete all registration details accurately to ensure smooth communication and tournament organisation. Once registration is complete, participants will receive further information regarding match schedules, gaming platforms, virtual coordination meetings and participation requirements.
