Moshe Ndiki, YoungstaCPT And SA20 Trophy Bring Energy As The Countdown Continues

With just weeks to go until SA20 Season four lights up the nation, Durban turned up the volume as the SA20 Schools Tour brought music, culture, and unstoppable youth energy to Durban Preparatory High School.

The visit transformed the school grounds into a vibrant celebration of rhythm, creativity and community spirit as the countdown to the new season intensifies across South Africa.

The nationwide Schools Tour continues to reconnect the league with communities across the country, and it was Durban’s turn to experience the spirit, colour and personality that define SA20 both on and off the field.

A major highlight of the day was the arrival of the SA20 Trophy, which drew massive cheers from learners eager to see it up close. Students lined up for photos, proudly holding the silverware and celebrating their own connection to the upcoming season. The excitement grew as learners received SA20 merchandise, adding even more buzz to the build-up.

Leading the celebration was Moshe Ndiki, charismatic entertainer, comedian and SA20 20th Player, who was welcomed with explosive cheers as he brought his signature humour and warmth to the school grounds. As part of the SA20 20th Player initiative, which brings influential personalities into the heart of the League to connect culture, entertainment and cricket, Moshe hosted games, led chants and energised learners from start to finish, carrying the SA20 spirit into communities ahead of the new season. He also led the crowd in the Season 4 anthem “Put Your Hands Up”, turning the school into a unified wave of dance, rhythm and celebration.

Moshe said: “What I saw in Durban today was joy in its purest form. These kids showed me that you don’t need a stadium to feel the SA20 spirit. Their confidence, their creativity, their willingness to get involved, that’s what this tour is all about. We come to inspire them, but they end up inspiring us just as much.”

The excitement continued as YoungstaCPT, one of South Africa’s most recognisable Hip Hop voices, delivered an electrifying freestyle session. Learners shouted random words, and he instantly transformed them into clever, rhythmic verses that set off waves of cheering, laughter and dance. His ability to connect with young audiences turned the visit into a creative, high-energy showcase.

With the countdown officially underway, excitement is building fast across KwaZulu Natal as fans prepare for a summer packed with world class cricket and stadium entertainment.

SA20 Season 4 kicks off with the Boxing Day opener at Newlands, where only a limited number of tickets remain.

Durban’s excitement is building as the Super Giants get ready to light up Kingsmead from 28 December, with strong demand for all home fixtures through to the Kingsmead Playoff on 21 January. The stadium is to be transformed into a buzzing hub of culture, colour and family fun all season long.
