Nabi Anticipates A Tough Game Against Stellies

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is wary of the threat posed by Stellenbosch despite having defeated them twice this season.
Amakhosi will face Stellies in the Nedbank Cup quarter final at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday (18:00).
This will be the third time these two sides have faced each other this season, as they’ve already played two times in the league, where Amakhosi won both games.
Nabi believes that the two games they won will mean nothing in this one because Stellies will give Amakhosi a tough game.
“We are indeed playing against a big team that is still even in a CAF Confederation Cup this season, and they have experienced technical staff,” Nabi said.
“We believe that it’s going to be a very tough game. We also don’t believe that the last two positive results we got against them are going to count on this match.
“I think even those games were very tough, and we expect a very tough game, but we are here as well to defend our chances. I think we will do anything possible to make a good performance, to try to go as far as we can this season in this Nedbank Cup.”
Although he has acknowledged Stellies as a tough side, the former AS FAR coach revealed what will take them to make it three out of three against Steve Barker’s side.
“We will do what we have to do, we will do everything,” the former young Africans coach said.
“The last two positive results that we got against them won’t mean anything on Saturday. The first thing is that we need to work and we’ve already started working mentally with our players to understand that it’s a new game, it’s a Cup game.
“We know that the team we are playing against has experienced players, and they are well experienced in this tournament. But as Kaizer Chiefs we know that it’s a quick possibility to arrive very far in this league, and that’s why we concentrate on ourselves and we’ll do everything on Saturday.
“We also know that on the other side they are going to play on the fact that they’ve already lost two times against us. We will try to push players and make a good game on Saturday.”
