The Premier Soccer League has conducted the Promotion/Relegation playoffs after the Motsepe Foundation Championship was finished this past weekend.  

Magesi secured the championship title with two games remaining and received the trophy on Sunday. The playoffs will determine which team from the Motsepe Foundation Championship will join them in the PSL next season.

University of Pretoria finished second in the Championship, while Baroka, relegated in 2022, secured a third-place finish. Interestingly, these two sides drew 1-1 in their final match of the regular season.

Playoff Schedule:

• Match 1: University of Pretoria vs. Baroka FC (June 2nd)
• Match 2: Royal AM / Richards Bay vs. University of Pretoria (June 5th) – Note: Winner of the PSL Relegation Playoff will be confirmed by June 5th.
• Match 3: Baroka vs. Royal AM / Richards Bay (8 June)
• Match 4: Baroka vs. University of Pretoria (12 June)
• Match 5: University of Pretoria vs. Royal AM / Richards Bay ( 15 June)
• Match 6: Royal AM vs. Baroka FC (19 June)

The victor of these playoffs will earn promotion to the DStv Premiership to join Magesi for next season.
