Seema On Reviving Former Pirates And Sundowns Stars

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has shared his impressions on Keletso Makgalwa and Katlego Otladisa, with the former appearing to be a revived player with the Limpopo side.

Sekhukhune moved to the fourth position in the Betway Premiership with 20 points after 11 games following a win over AmaZulu 2-0 away at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday.

Pleased with his team’s performance, the Babina Noko mentor lauded his technical team for a spot-on analysis of their opposition, while also giving props to his troops for staying focused in critical moments having scored at the end of both halves.

However, another notable display was demonstrated by former Mamelodi Sundowns winger, Makgalwa who has proved to be a pivotal component in the Limpopo team’s setup this season, earning his 10th start in 11 games.

The former Polokwane City coach commended the former Sundowns man, mentioning that he has always rated him highly even when he was said to have lost his spark in South Africa’s topflight.

“I think it is always good to see a player who was deemed at some point down and out and he comes and revives his career like this because his quality has always been there, it’s a matter of being given a chance and opportunity and being supported. So he’s taking the opportunity with both hands and not only him,” said Seema.

The 44-year-old tactician further shared his impression on the new loan signing, another 28-year-old winger, Otladisa who recently joined the team on a six-month loan from Orlando Pirates.

Impressed with his signing, Seema rewarded the winger with his first start against Polokwane City this past weekend, playing a full 90 minutes, leading the coach to sing his praises.

“We’ve got Otladisa you can see we have just acquired him now in this window that just opened but the way he is playing, you can see he is free, he is energetic, he is helping the team as well. I am happy about our striker Andy Boyeli, he has got his second goal now in the league.”

As the January transfer window has been officially opened for nine days, Sekhukhune is one of the few sides who have already made a move in the market with the Otladisa loan deal.

However, the gaffer feels that despite having not had any discussions with management, there are a few areas in the squad that need a little tweaking.

“This is football you never know, I haven’t sat with my bosses but as the technical team we are always sitting and talking, and yeah maybe we will see. You could see one or two but it’s always a work in progress.”
