Sekhukhune Make Their First New Signing

Sekhukhune United have made their first acquisition for the upcoming season, securing the services of midfielder Banele Gama from Venda Football Club, Sportswire has been informed.

Gama, a central midfielder, played a crucial role in helping the Venda-based club avoid relegation from the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the end of this past season. The 25-year-old, despite primarily operating in a deeper-lying position, managed to score three goals in 23 appearances for Stanford Nkoane’s side in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

He is highly regarded, with significant predictions that he will add considerable value to Sekhukhune United, who finished an impressive fourth in the Betway Premiership last season.

Eric Tinkler’s side concluded the campaign with 46 points from 28 matches, just two points shy of third-placed Stellenbosch FC, who secured a CAF Confederation Cup spot for the second consecutive year.

While Gama marks the first new signing for Sekhukhune United, Sportswire understands that more arrivals are expected from the Limpopo-based club before the start of the next season.
