Sekhukhune Sign DRC Striker  

DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United has completed the signing of highly-rated striker Andy Boyeli from Zambian MTN Super League side Power Dynamos.  

The Congolese forward has been in top form in the Zambian Super League over the past two seasons, showcasing his remarkable goal scoring abilities he won the Golden Boot award and Footballer of the Season with 18 goals in the 2022/23 campaign.  

At the same time, Sekhukhune parted ways with striker Michael Sarpong after only one season with the club.  

The Ghanaian forward struggled to settle in the South African top tier league made only four starts and provided one assist.  

Sarpong was released alongside Sibusiso Vilakazi, Edwin Gymah, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Collins Makgaka and Tashreed Morris.  

“After much speculation, we are pleased to announce that Andy Bobwa Boyeli is a Sekhukhune United player. We would like to thank Power Dynamos for their professionalism during the transfer process,” said the tagency that manages Boyeli posted on X.  

In the just ended season Babina Noko finished fourth on the log standings and they qualified to play in the CAF Confederation Cup.   

As the pre-season is in full swing, the club is now in search for the new coach after they parted ways with Lehlohonolo Seema, who was initially suspended with two games to spare.  

The club is working hard at finding the coach knowing the importance of being involved in the pre-season to know the players and the environment.
