Stellenbosch Raid Continues: Chiefs Secure Loan Deal For Abrahams

Kaizer Chiefs has confirmed the signing of 21-year-old attacker Faiz Abrahams from Stellenbosch FC.
The versatile attacker joins Amakhosi on a season-long loan, with Chiefs securing an option to convert the deal into a permanent transfer at the end of the 2026/27 campaign. Triggering the buyout option will depend on Abrahams’ playing time and output throughout the season.
Abrahams marks Chiefs’ second recruitment from Stellenbosch in recent days, following the arrival of winger Langelihle Phili.
“Kaizer Chiefs have bolstered their squad with the signing of Faiz Abrahams, who arrives at Naturena on a season-long loan from Stellenbosch FC, with an option to buy at the end of the campaign. Welcome to the Kaizer Chiefs family,” the club announced in an official statement.
Abrahams expands an ambitious list of off-season arrivals at Naturena, joining Phili, Khanyisa Mayo, Thabo Moloisane, Renaldo Leaner, and Adolf Bitegeko in the new-look squad.
The young forward will aim to make an immediate impression if selected for Sunday evening’s MTN8 quarter-final encounter against Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium.
Chiefs kick-started their 2026/27 campaign with strong momentum last weekend following a convincing 3-1 victory over newly promoted Kruger United.
